It's already November? I started writing this in October- "Summer of Loss, Love and Learning" The summer came and went leaving me with many new experiences both good and bad. It was a summer of love, loss and lots of learning. A quick breakdown: ~Went to New York City with Innovative Arts and saw Anastasia (INCREDIBLE), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Chicago. Also took the opportunity to take a Hamilton workshop with Betsy Struxness (OBC) ~Taught at Suitcase Theatre alongside amazing Toronto teachers ~Lead Innovative Arts' Senior and Junior summer camps, which included writing two scripts with participants. ~Spent time catching up with friends and exploring Toronto including Toronto Islands! This fall has been passing by quickly as well, I'm back with Innovative Arts for their production of "Sound of Music", teaching one evening at dance studio through Quick Ball Change and working with Smile Theatre for their Smile Serenades program. There are some exciting projects in the works! I was part of a short film this summer, "Know It" which will be entered into the film festivals (female director, female writer!) I filmed two commercials this Fall, one of which was for the Wall Street Journal. This commercial centres around a young female entrepreneur and was directed by the incredible Ellen Kuras. Check out the commerical here. Looking forward to sharing the other two projects in the next few weeks. In the meantime I am enjoying the changing seasons and focusing on my craft. I love that I am able to share my love of acting, singing and dancing with both my students and with Smile Theatre. Happy November! Behind the scenes with my "college friends" for the Wall Street Journal
